The Stone Giraffe is pleased to feature original art
by well known Hermann artist Hans Droog. Oil paintings and metal
sculptures by Droog are on display throughout the premises.
Droog designed and fabricated the Stone
Giraffe's exquisite cherry wood kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities and 26
three-panel cherry wood doors.
Locally, Droog is known for the four golden
deer he crafted for Jim Dierberg's Hermanhof Winery complex, located around
the Hofgarten.
Beyond Hermann, Droog is recognized for
numerous collectible beer steins he designed for Anheuser-Busch and for the
realistic artwork of animals he has created for posters for the popular
Zoofari fundraiser event held biannually to benefit the St. Louis Zoological
Gardens.
In addition, Droog has been commissioned to
paint highly detailed "portraits" of bulls, cows and other farm animals. His
paintings of dogs and cats have been used by Support Dogs of St. Louis to
promote their fundraising events.
All of the artwork displayed at the Stone
Giraffe are available for purchase.
